What is the application process?

We start with scheduling a walk-through, where you and your child can come into our center, meet our staff, ask any questions, and get a first-hand look at how we operate.  From there, if you decide that Willow & Oak is a good fit for your family, you will be given the application packet.  Completion of the packet and payment of the initial registration fee will officially enroll your child.

How will I know if Willow and Oak is a good fit for my family and my child?

The best way to get an idea of whether or not our program is a good fit for you is to schedule a visit to our center!   Bring your child and let them interact with the other children, see the classrooms, meet the teachers, and check out everything we have to offer.

At these visits, we will answer all of your questions and address any concerns you may have.

How do I know what my child is up to all day?

Our center uses the Child pilot software, which allows parent/guardians to stay updated in real-time about their child's activities.  The program lets teachers log meals, naps, diaper changes, bathroom trips, etc throughout the day, and the parent/guardian gets these notifications through the ChildPilot app on their phone.  Teachers and administrators are also able to upload pictures throughout the day, log any injuries or incidents, message with parents/guardians, and monitor attendance at a glance.  This keeps our center running efficiently and keeps everyone on the same page.

ChildPilot is also how a parent/guardian/authorized adult will check each child in or out each day.

Who owns Willow and Oak Early Learning Center?

Willow and Oak Early Learning Center is owned by me,  Brooke Robeaux, M. Ed., through my company, Willow and Oak Early Learning Center, LLC.

I have twenty years in childcare experience over a range of settings.  This includes providing private, in-home childcare, working as a lead teacher in a daycare setting, volunteering with many tutoring programs working with children from elementary through high school, and I have two children of my own.

I completed my Master's Degree in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education in April 2024, graduating Summa Cum Laude.  My undergrad degree is in Applied Linguistics and I have an Early Childhood Ancillary Certification.  I am well-versed in the current research pertaining to child psychology and the best practices recommended for behavior guidance that keeps the child's dignity and self-esteem intact while curbing unwanted behaviors.

I have dreamed of one day owning and operating my own daycare for many years.  In August 2024, I was offered the opportunity to purchase the building and the business.  So, after months of work to get everything in order, I am very excited about all the big changes on the horizon!
